2021 Tennis Queensland Club of the Year – Finalist

How do I know which program/lesson option is best suited for my child?

At Tennis For Kids we try to have group lessons where all the children are of a similar age and skill level. Over the years we have found the best way to achieve this is by using your child’s grade to choose between a Kinder Tennis, Red Ball, Orange Ball or Green Ball lesson. Click here for detailed advice on our children’s lessons or use the information below to help choose a class for your child,

  1. Kinder Tennis – If your child is 3 years or older but is yet to start school, choose a Kinder Tennis lesson.
  2. Red Ball Lessons – If your child is starting tennis lessons and is in Prep, Grade 1 or Grade 2, choose a Red Ball Lesson.
  3. Orange Ball Lessons – If your child is starting tennis lessons and is in Grade 3, 4, 5 or 6 Orange Ball lessons are a good place to start. Alternatively if your child is in Grades 1, 2, 3 or 4 and has been having lessons for 12 months or more you could enrol then in Orange Ball lessons.
  4. Green Ball Lessons – If your child is starting tennis lessons and is in Grade 5 or Grade 6 they will be best suited to Green Ball lessons. Alternatively if your child is in Grade 3, 4, 5 or 6 and has been having tennis lessons for 2 years or more, you could enrol them in Green Ball lessons.
